What if I’ve never danced before?

That’s exactly who this class is for.

You don’t need to know tango steps. You don’t need to be naturally musical. And you certainly don’t need to be an experienced dancer.

I’ll guide you through the fundamentals step by step in a relaxed and friendly environment.

By learning the basics properly, you’ll begin to understand how to walk, connect with your partner and move with the music.

Do I need a partner?

No.

You can come on your own.

Many people discover tango without having a partner when they start. You’ll be welcomed into the class and guided through the exercises.

If you already have a partner, you’re very welcome to come together too.

Why learn with Marek?

I’ve been dancing since I was five and discovered Argentine Tango in 2001.

Since then I’ve spent more than 25 years learning and teaching tango, including teaching in the UK, USA and across Europe.

My goal isn’t simply to teach you a sequence of steps.

I want you to understand tango well enough to eventually create your own dance.

What happens in your first class?

1. We start with the fundamentals

You’ll learn the basic principles of Argentine Tango.

2. We work on connection

You’ll discover how the leader and follower communicate through movement.

3. We put it together

You’ll begin to dance simple movements with the music.

4. You have fun

There is no exam and no performance.

You’re here to discover something new.

What should I wear?

Nothing special.

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that allow you to move easily.

You don’t need tango shoes for your first class.

Your first class: £10

You don’t have to commit to an 8 – week course before you’ve even tried tango.

Come and experience the class first.
